Most recommendations for the right computer equipment to trade forex include the necessity to keep your computer on for 24 hours a day seven days a week. A powerful, multiprocessor system is also thought essential. These statements are not true. If you have the right connections, a cheap, battered old PC can be more than adequate.

Some items, like a good fast internet connection, are essential. But you do not necessarily need this at home. The EZEFX package describes low cost alternatives you can use to save your electricity, internet use, hardware and software costs.

A scanner, printer, fax machine and other office equipment can come in useful from time to time but are certainly not essential.
